China’s government has approved a drug that treats men with erectile dysfunction, but that’s just the beginning.
Viagra, the most widely used treatment for erectile dysfunction, may also be linked to a higher price of the drug in China, according to an article posted at.
The article is by Stephen J. Gewaert, Ph. D., a pharmaceutical company based in Chengdu that sells a generic version of the drug, Cialis.
In the article, J. Gewaert says that the price of Viagra, a prescription-only drug, is set to double to around 5.6 yuan ($24) a pill.
In fact, there’s only one Chinese drug that’s approved by the Food and Drug Administration, Pfizer Inc., for treating male sexual problems.
Viagra is sold over-the-counter in the United States, and it’s sold in bulk at the pharmacy benefit managers in the U. S. and elsewhere.
Cialis is available in 50 mg, 100 mg, and 150 mg pills, and the recommended starting dose is 20 mg, but the drug can only be taken once a day, J. Gewaert says.
The price of Viagra has risen from 2,400 yuan ($2,100) last year to 3,800 yuan ($6,200), he adds. It was up from the previous high of $1,800 last year. It has also seen a slight rise in the price of generic drugs.
However, J. Gewaert says the drug isn’t the only one in the market to treat male sexual problems.
He says the price of Viagra is expected to rise again in the coming months.
Viagra is the only drug in the U. that’s approved to treat the underlying condition that causes erectile dysfunction in men, such as impotence.
But J. Gewaert says there’s no evidence that the drug will make more of a dent in the market.
“The price of the drug is expected to increase again, and there’s no way to predict when it will be impacted by the price of the drug,” he says.
Viagra is also being sold in Canada by Canadian pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly, which sells the drug for around $2,000 per pill.
Eli Lilly has been trying to get the drug to market for about a decade.
The drug company is also looking into the cost of the drug to patients in Canada, which is not a common practice in the U. but is still being pursued by Eli Lilly, J.
He adds that while the price may seem attractive for patients, it’s not clear what the actual impact of the drug on the market will be.
“It will be very different from what we have seen in the past,” he says. “If it is the only drug that has a long-term effect, then we may have to look at other options.”
The price of Viagra has been increasing in recent years in part because the drug company is trying to market a more affordable version of the drug, and the drug is being sold in bulk at the pharmacy benefit managers.
The price of Viagra in China is currently set to double to as much as 5.6 yuan ($24) per pill, J.
He says that the drug could be worth up to $1,500 per pill for patients who have had a prescription for Viagra.
The price of Viagra is currently set to double to around 5.6 yuan ($24) per pill, J.
But if the drug is sold to patients in Canada, it could be worth as much as $1,500 for the drug.
The price of Viagra in the U. has risen from 2,400 yuan ($2,100) last year to 3,800 yuan ($6,200) this year, J.
The price of generic Viagra also has been increasing in recent years, as the drug’s patent has expired and the patent for the generic version has been extended to the U. market.
A trip to the supermarket isn’t always worth the effort.

1.Nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate): Cialis and nitrates both lower blood pressure. Taking them together can cause a significant and potentially life-threatening drop in blood pressure (hypotension), leading to dizziness, fainting, or even heart attack or stroke. It is contraindicated to use Cialis with nitrates or recreational "poppers" (amyl nitrites).
2.Alpha-blockers (e.g., prazosin, terazosin, tamsulosin): Both Cialis and alpha-blockers relax blood vessels, which can lead to excessive blood pressure reduction when used together. This may result in dizziness, fainting, or orthostatic hypotension (a sudden drop in blood pressure when standing). If needed, your doctor may adjust the dosage or recommend spacing the medications.
3.Other antihypertensive drugs (e.g., atenolol, propranolol, enalapril, lisinopril): Cialis can enhance the blood-pressure-lowering effects of these medications. While this interaction is usually less severe than with nitrates or alpha-blockers, it can still cause dizziness or fainting in sensitive individuals. Close monitoring of blood pressure is recommended.
Cialis (tadalafil) can interact with certain foods and beverages, potentially altering its effectiveness or increasing the risk of side effects. Here are the key drug-food interactions to be aware of:
